In Slow Death #6, Charles Dallas
contributes a very rare anti-zoo story before George Metzger weaves a
nightmarish future where hope manages to survive for 245 years (in one
of the most amusing misspellings found in the undergrounds,
Metzger misspells "analyst" as "analist"). Rand Holmes provides the
excellent "Raw Meat" (reminds me of the movie, Little
Shop of Horrors). The comic closes with Jack Jackson giving
us a killer tale indicting all manners of prejudice. The sixth issue is another outstanding effort in this terrific series. HISTORICAL FOOTNOTES:
It is currently unknown how many copies of this comic book were printed. It has not been reprinted.
The back cover art by Charles Dallas features Brulik and Ildar from his epic story in Psychotic Adventures Illustrated #2, which was published by Last Gasp three months earlier. Curiously, the characters in that book never had such a necklace, ring or chain belt, but here it helps convey the nature of the protagonists in the story. Well sort of, because the ring might imply that Brulik and Ildar are romantically involved, and that was never the case.
