In Mr. Natural #2,
our favorite pseudo-swami achieves extraordianry philosophical depth without compromising his shallow underpinnings. The single-page
story on the inside front cover, "Mr. Natural Does the Dishes," provides more insight on the rewards of manual labor than any other comic
book in history. And it only gets better from there, with stories like "Mr.
Natural" (in which Mr. Natural does not even appear) and "Sittin'
Around the Kitchen Table."
This is a casually brilliant entry in Robert Crumb's massive oeuvre, but not one that should be casually overlooked.
