REVIEW SCORE 7
Even in the mid-'70s, not many comics or magazines had the balls to put a spread-eagle blonde beauty on the cover. California Comics #3 would have earned a Top Twenty Underground Cover award if I hadn't already given Ed Watson two awards for the two previous issues in this series.

Alas, this is also the final issue of California Comics. But it ends in grand style with another installment of Lovetree and section two of "Comixography," section D-Fa. It's a shame this series did not continue long enough for "Comixography" to be completed, as it pre-dated almost all other underground checklists. It's also a shame because I would've enjoyed many more episodes of "Lovetree."
